First-Gen American (Brazilian/Trinidadian), art lover, and an iced latte enthusiast:
I started my creative journey in high school, where I earned the Art Department Award in Drawing. While studying Communications, Media, and Culture (minor in Cinema) at the University of Tampa, I had the opportunity to experiment with a wide variety of mediums, including photography, video, and 3D environment building in Unreal Engine.
My happy-go-lucky attitude led me to freelance throughout college, where I was able to take photos for small brands, restaurants, and eventually manage a small studio space in Hyde Park Village (Tampa, FL) at Hyde House’s Public Studio. Soon after, I was a Graphic Design Intern and Video Production Intern with SOFWERX, which led me to my first post-graduation position with Amerilife as a Video Producer. Traveling around the country and producing with Amerilife furthered my video/photo skills as well as my project management skills as I built a Notion-powered hub for the team.
Currently, I work as the Director of Communications for New York State Senator Jamaal T. Bailey in the 36th Senatorial District. Being able to use my skills in a wide array of functions, such as public relations, social media management, media strategy, and videography/photography, has made me a powerhouse in terms of what I am capable of. With my strong work ethic and robust experience, I can push creative projects to their fullest potential.
